Weed Control FAQs

When should pre-emergent be applied in Kansas?
Typically early to mid-March, before soil temperatures hold at 55°F. Applying it late lets crabgrass germinate, and no pre-emergent works after that point.
How many weed control applications do I need per year?
Most lawns here do well with four to five rounds: spring pre-emergent, a late-spring broadleaf round, summer spot treatment, and a fall application.
Is the treatment safe for kids and pets?
The products we use are safe once dry. We ask that people and pets stay off treated areas for a few hours, and we tell you exactly when it is clear.
Do you treat weeds in beds and gravel too?
Yes. Spot treatment along fence lines, in gravel drives and inside mulched beds can be added to any lawn program.
