Weed Control FAQs
- When should pre-emergent be applied in Kansas?
- Typically early to mid-March, before soil temperatures hold at 55°F. Applying it late lets crabgrass germinate, and no pre-emergent works after that point.
- How many weed control applications do I need per year?
- Most lawns here do well with four to five rounds: spring pre-emergent, a late-spring broadleaf round, summer spot treatment, and a fall application.
- Is the treatment safe for kids and pets?
- The products we use are safe once dry. We ask that people and pets stay off treated areas for a few hours, and we tell you exactly when it is clear.
- Do you treat weeds in beds and gravel too?
- Yes. Spot treatment along fence lines, in gravel drives and inside mulched beds can be added to any lawn program.
